Congratulations Vicky-First Trans Trial Judge

Despite the jacked up results from last night's midterms, some trans electoral history was made.

Kim Coco Iwamoto was reelected to the Hawaii State Board of Education for another four year term, so congrats to her remaining in a state level political office.   .

She is joined by another transperson elected to public office.

Last night the voters of Alameda County, Califonia voted to make Victoria Kolakowski the first transgender trial judge in the country.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting results, Kolakowski garnered 115, 570 votes (50.2 percent of the total) against her opponent,  Deputy District Attorney John Creighton, who had 112,241 votes (48.7 percent) to fill the empty Superior Court bench..

Congrats Vicky.
