Don't Disrespect Me

An MKR Poem

Don't disrespect me
Because you won't see
My evolving femininity
That overrides my transsexuality

Won't let your fear
Label me as queer
I'm a woman, my dear
Hope that's crystal clear

I'm Black and proud
Opinionated and loud
Ain't just a pretty face in a crowd
Praise be to God

My inner diva is finally free
So respect my gender identity
And my humanity
From sea to shining sea
