Keith's Countdown Coming Back June 20

The man the conservafools love to hate, Keith Olbermann, is about to come back on the air to their disgust, and it's about damned time. .

The clock is ticking toward the June 20 air date and return to the cable television airwaves of Keith Olbermann's Countdown. It'll be broadcasting on Current TV, the network cofounded by Joel Hyatt and former President Al Gore starting on that date, and cannot wait until Keith starts tearing into the conservafools on a regular basis.

And know, that President Gore is not a typo.   Al Gore won the 2000 election and it is our country's and the world's loss that he didn't get to occupy the Oval Office instead of that village idiot that was all hat and no cattle.

But back to the post.   I like Cenk Uguyr, watch Lawrence O'Donnell, love Ed Schultz and my girl Dr. Rachel Maddow, but like 'errbody' else have missed Keith tellin it like it T-I-S is at 7 PM CT.

And Joel Hyatt agrees. “Countdown With Keith Olbermann will showcase the return to television of one of America’s most gifted thinkers and communicators,”he said. “Keith will be back, speaking truth to power and calling them as he sees them -- but this time, on America’s only independent news and information TV network.”

And like all of us political junkies, those of us who take serious our obligation to be informed citizens of the United States and are concerned about what's going on in our country and around the world, I can't wait.

Katey Red On Treme

I've been getting hooked on HBO's drama Treme, which is set in post Katrina New Orleans.

Season 2 action is set ten months after Hurricane Katrina blew through town and has been pretty interesting in terms of following the various characters in the series in addition to associating them with the real life people woven into the story.

This week's episode is entitled 'Does Santa Claus Get the Blues?' and in addition to seeing Christmas post Katrina New Orleans style, one of the real life people that was woven into this episode was sissy bounce rapper Katey Red.

I understand she appeared in a Season one episode and was just following along with the action when I saw the recording studio scene and an artist texting on her cell phone in it as the producers are imploring her to start rapping.

As they panned in had an OMG moment when I realized it was her.

See, told y'all we Black transwomen can do anything we set our minds to.

Hmm...definitely staying tuned to Treme.

The Game Season 4 Finale Tonight

At 9 PM CDT I'm tuned into BET (yes, BET) for my weekly dose of The Game.    The Mara Brock Akil produced show was on the CW for three seasons until it was canceled.   It was revived and picked up by BET due to a write in campaign initiated by its many fans, and the opening season 4 episode drew 7 million viewers.

And what a season.   We've seen the now married Dr. Melanie Barnett-Davis do a failed paternity test on DJ, watched Jason get cut from the Sabers,  Tasha date a younger man and drive him away, Kelly's reality TV show bomb, and Jason and Kelly actually crack down and become parents to an out of control teenage Brittany.

Speaking of out of control, Malik's life descends to a dark place to the point where he ends up in rehab, falls in love and just when he climbs out of that hole, ends up in another one with the Sabers owner when he finds out Malik has been sleeping with his wife who the owner has badly disrespected.

Hmm, wonder what Season 5 has in store for us?

I'll definitely be watching later tonight.
